Artist's Comments

I painted this from some wine glasses. I took and image and cropped it to 2x3. Then I blew it up to a 18x24 painting. In the process I abstracted it and ended up with this. Everyone sees it as something different... one of its more interesting traits. :)

Just acrylic paint. There were a few times That I used tape to help me paint a hard, clean, line. I worked for about an hour a day, 5 days a week, for 2 or 3 weeks if memory serves. So I guess it would have been 10 to 20 hours of work, allowing for bad memory. After that I left it alone for a while (about 4 months). When I pulled it out and looked at it I did about a hour of finishing work (cleaning up some lines and other general things). The break was necessary in the end. It made me come back to it with new eyes and prevented me from ruining it. :) I have a tendency to go to far with paintings. I never know when to quit. I suppose that's why I end up hating most of my paintings.

Did I say that?
:iconfused0001:
I understand that. you want it to look as good as possible but in doing that you go overboard. Ive done that many times.
