Note: DO NOT TRY TO READ THE TEXT. WHAT THE ACTUAL TEXT SAYS IS COMPLETELY IRRELEVENT. Sorry, I felt the need to say that because I keep getting asked about the text on the page. The text is basically just part of the surface. It is there to add another dimension to the work. The page was not picked for the picture because of what it said. I never actually read this book.
This was based off of my eye. I can't guarantee how close it is to reality. There's something intrinsically difficult about trying to draw your own eye in the mirror. I think it has to do with drawing and staying still at the same time.
We all have our own outlook on life, our own frame or reference. Some call this a Paradigm, from the latin which roughly translates into "beside example." It works on the concept that our lives teach us how to look at things. What we see, what we read into situations is based on where we have been and what we have seen previously. We project ourselves onto the rest of the world. Perception is not a linear flow, into the brain through the eyes, ears, nose and mouth. We constantly compare new situations to old ones. We place them "beside example." We start drawing similarities and try to get the new situation to match the old one with which we are familiar and confortable.

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
This newsletter was "born" back in March 2007, from a conversation between ~Lareth and =FrozenStarRo, who with the help of their friends *Iardacil and *Sylwiaa , wanted to make something to promote known and unknown photomanipulators alike here on DeviantArt. As of September 2009 =ImaginaryRosse joined the project and will be helping us out with the weekly choices. While things have changed over time, the essence of the newsletter is still the same.
