I started making my patterns about 5 years ago; but recently they've taken on a very new character and a new meaning. Instead of completely random collections of shapes, the new sequence of patterns is based around the names of my friends, weaving their names into a work of art. I'm making all of them the same size/aspect ratio and I'm combining the individual tiles into larger images along thematic lines. I've already been working on this for 3/4th of a year in my spare time and it looks to continue well into the next year. Isn't it amazing how easy it is to be self-righteous and act morally superior, even when you aren't. "Sure! When this person uses profanity and curses someone out, they're clearly an 'asshole,' but when *I* do the same thing to *them,* then it's okay, because they did if first so they're wrong." Isn't it more likely that both parties are wrong? Isn't it more likely that telling someone to "Fuck OFF" after they just insulted someone else does NOT actually help the situation. Isn't it possible that just trying for 5 minutes to stay calm and be nice and polite would do everyone so much good. Nah. That's just crazy. Let's just all act like a bun
